Here at MarketingWorks RTP, we love WiFi. As many of you know, WiFi is a way to connect your computer to the Internet without wires. WiFi hotspots are public places where you can make WiFi connections, often for free. And this Web site, off here in a corner of our main business site, lists local WiFi hotspots around Research Triangle Park, N.C.
MarketingWorks offers this list as a free community service. Since many local businesses are investing in these public WiFi hotspots, we've invested in this list to help other WiFi users in the Triangle find out where to get connected. We love the idea that forward-thinking businesses and organizations are creating a new "commons" for the Internet, a greenspace for the UNwired among us. Thanks also to Laser Image Corporate Printing for helping us get the word out.

Help us make it better. Do you know
about a public-access, no-charge WiFi hotspot in the Triangle? Let
us know and and we'll post it to the List. You can also
tell
a friend about The Triangle WiFi HotSpot List and share
the joy.
Support these kind businesses. If
you use one of these free WiFi hotspots, by all means buy
something and tell the business owners you appreciate their
contribution to the new Internet commons. Once word gets around
that WiFi is good for business, then more businesses will
help build this digital greenspace.
NOTE about paid access points: We've
chosen to list a few fee-based access points at convenient
locations (such as Borders Bookstores) that use the T-Mobile
HotSpot or other similar networks. These site are noted with
a ($) next to the location
name. All other sites do not charge access fees, as far as we know.
